Beau Riedel
Beau Riedel (born November 19, 1975) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey goaltender who played one season in the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL). ==Playing career== Riedel played for three teams during the 1996–97 ECHL season. After brief stops in Huntington and Wheeling, Riedel signed with the Johnstown Chiefs on December 30, 1996.〔(NYTimes.com: Sports Transactions, December 31 1996 )〕 Riedel finished the season as the starting goaltender of the Johnstown Chiefs, going 9-12-4 in 27 games. As a member of the Chiefs, Riedel signed a tryout contract with the Hershey Bears of the AHL on January 29, 1997,〔(NYTimes.com: Sports Transactions, January 30 1997 )〕 but did not see any ice time with the team. Riedel broke the Chiefs single-game save record by recording 61 saves in a game against the Louisville Riverfrogs in March 1997, a record that he would hold for seven seasons.
